1. COUNTABLE AND UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS.
Countable Nouns (C) have a singular and a plural form.
chair / chairs, carrot / carrots, man / men, lady / ladies.
EXAMPLE: We need a carrot for a salad.
Would you like some carrots?
I need an envelope.
Please buy six envelopes for me.
Uncountable Nouns (U) do not have plural forms.
bread / coffee / water / money / rice / information
These things are naturally uncountable.
Drinks: tea, beer, wine, water, coffee, milk
Some foods: fish, bread, cheese, ham, meat
Some things: toothpaste, soap, shampoo
Materials: paper, wood, wool, plastic
Some words: information, music, money
